Meet Dave
David Murray - H.B. C0mm, MBA, CNA, CHE

Dave Murray is one of only a few CEOs in Ontario who has had the opportunity to lead organizations in all of the major sectors of the health care system across the entire province. He has served as CEO of ten diverse and varied health organizations across Ontario such as the Group Health Centre in Sault Ste. Marie. Commissioner Roy Romanow, ex-Premier of Saskatchewan, who was asked by the Governor General and the Prime Minister to lead the Federal Royal Commission on the Future of Health Care in Canada called the Group Health Centre at the time the "jewel in the crown of Medicare".
Murray was also the inaugural CEO of Unicare CHO, the North East LHIN, and the Waterloo Wellington CCAC. He has served as the CEO of the Northwest Health Alliance, an organization owned by the regional hospitals, which provided interconnected IT, PACS, EHR, Business Intelligence and Project Management services to the twelve hospitals in the northwest. He has also been the CEO/Interim CEO of four hospitals and LTC facilities across seven sites, including the nationally recognized Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre which provides services to 30 remote fly-in Indigenous communities.
Dave has been an ongoing champion for the north and system reform. He is proud to have been chosen as one of thirteen Ontarians to serve on the Premier's Council to End Hallway Medicine under the leadership of the late Dr. Rueben Devlin.
With governance experience on over a dozen boards in Ontario health and education systems he understands the role that good governance plays in the public system. Murray has been on the board and chaired the Ontario Telemedicine Network and currently serves on the ORNGE Air Ambulance board. He continues to provide input on key policy initiatives.
